Thank you!

Thank you to the members of the choir who were able to attend the Parent Council Christmas Coffee Morning. It is a busy time of year for everyone and we really appreciate you making the effort to come into school on Saturday.

Here also is a letter from the Provost thanking the choir and staff for their time and efforts when they visited the Town House recently.

Well done everyone!

Town House Performance!

The choir gave a fantastic performance tonight at the Provost’s Civic Dinner in the Town House.

Mrs Hunter was in ‘seventh heaven’ because she got to play the Steinway grand piano! 🙂

The choir were in ‘seventh heaven’ because of all the ‘goodies’ to eat after 🙂

Echoes of War

The choir took part in this Fringe event yesterday at the Town House along with Dingwall Choir, James Graham and lots of other musicians. They were a very important part of the concert singing “Your King is Coming Tonight”. The Town House was packed and unfortunately some parents who arrived did not get in. Everyone commented on the choir’s lovely singing and excellent behaviour, as usual. Mrs Macleod, Fiona and Mrs Hunter were so proud of you, yet again!

As a result of the super performance, the Provost of Inverness has invited the choir to entertain the councillors in the Town House in November. More about that after the holiday.

There is a lovely photos in today’s Highland News of the choir outside Eden Court. Thank you all so much for your loyalty and support during Mod week. Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

At the Royal National Mod Competitions 2014

The choir took part in two competitions at the Mod today in Eden Court. They competed in the Unison Singing and the Puirt-a-beul. In the Unison Singing they came third. It was interesting listening to all the other choirs from Dingwall, Mull, Port Ellen and Bowmore.
We’d like to thank Fiona J MacKenzie for conducting us today in place of Mrs MacDonald who is singing with her family at Celtic Colours in Cape Breton.
Although we didn’t win any trophies, the behaviour of the choir was of the usual high standard. Mrs Macleod and Mrs Hunter were very proud of you all. Look out for your photos in the local press this week!!
